We will begin a new learning cohort on February 8, 2020. The group will typically meet the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:00-12:00 pm.
The Church Equipping Institute (CEI) exists to equip leaders to start and strengthen churches. (CEI) is designed for leaders who would like theological and pastoral training but lack the time and resources to access traditional seminary education.
The first-year participants focus on systematic theology by interacting with the EFCA Statement of Faith. The cohort participants will be ask read assigned material from Evangelical Convictions, and Bible Doctrine, by Wayne Grudem and write two page guided response papers interacting with each of the articles. At the conclusion of the first-year participants will have prepared a theology paper that could be submitted for EFCA Credentials if they so desire.
Year two of (CEI) focuses on practical theology topics like hermeneutics, evangelism, biblical counseling, self-leadership, and “gospel in life” issues.
The first-year class time is spent reading, peer-reviewing, and revising the papers. Participants are only asked to cover the cost of their books.
