Gathered Worship: December 6, 2020
This Sunday continues our celebration of Advent. Advent means “coming” and is a reminder as we approach the Christmas season of the coming and the second coming of Jesus Christ. Over the weeks leading up to Christmas Eve, we will look at Biblical themes that remind us of Jesus’ first coming and point us to His next.
It is undeniable that the Christmas season looks different this year. Whether is it social distancing or masks, everyone keeps saying that we are living in “unprecedented times”. And while the times may be unique to us, some things remain the same from that first Christmas until now. This Sunday we will look at the Faith of Mary and Joseph.
Based on the growing number of covid cases in our community and the recent recommendation from the health department, we will plan to meet online for Gathered Worship this week.
