Gathered Worship: November 29, 2020

This Sunday begins our celebration of Advent.
Advent means “coming” and is a reminder as we approach the Christmas season of the coming and the second coming of Jesus Christ.  Over the next four weeks leading up to Christmas Eve, we will look at Biblical themes that remind us of Jesus’ first coming and point us to His next.

This Sunday we will look with Anticipation and Hope for the coming Christ.  Everyone keeps saying that we are living in “unprecedented times”.  This Sunday we will look together at how we can have Hope in these times.

Based on the growing number of covid cases in our community and the recent recommendation from the health department, we will plan to meet online for Gathered Worship this week.

H.E.A.R. Journals
Do you struggle reading the Bible? When you read does it sometimes feel like “checking a box”? Consider trying a H.E.A.R. Journal put together by the folks at Replicate Ministries. The acronym H.E.A.R. stands for Highlight, Explain, Apply, and Respond.

Our goal will be (4-5) journal entries a week for three weeks from November 29-December 19.  We will meet up over Zoom for 30-45 minutes to talk about our journals.  Pick the days and times that work best for your schedule and we will get going!
